Bhushan Toley is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in chemical and bioengineering. Currently serving as a Humboldt Fellow - Visiting Professor at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau and an Associate Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bhushan is also a Co-Founder of Papyrus Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. Previous roles include Senior Fellow at the University of Washington, where Bhushan developed innovative paper-based microfluidic devices for nucleic acid amplification and diagnostic applications, and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, focusing on tumor-on-a-chip models and drug development tools. Bhushan holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a B.Chem.Eng from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Mumbai.
