Neelesh Mehta is a prominent academic and researcher in the field of wireless communications, currently serving as Chair and Professor in the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) since September 2007. With an extensive background in the industry, Neelesh has held key positions including Principal Scientist at Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs and Member Technical Staff at AT&T Labs - Research, focusing on next-generation cellular systems such as HSDPA, LTE, and WCDMA. Neelesh's research interests encompass the design, analysis, and optimization of wireless cellular systems, cooperative communications, and advanced antenna technologies. Neelesh earned an MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering from Caltech and has also conducted research at Stanford University.
