Atul Mittal

Atul Mittal is a Professor at IIT Delhi since July 1999, focusing on research, teaching, and consulting in sustainability, climate change, and the environment. Prior experience includes serving as a Visiting Professor at INSA de Lyon in May 2004, where responsibilities included coordinating the Indo-French Unit on Water and Waste technology. Mittal worked as a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore from April 1997 to July 1999, specializing in the biosorption of gold. Previously, Mittal held the position of Senior Lecturer at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology from December 1988 to May 1997. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and Master's and Engineer's degrees in Environmental and Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and Aligarh Muslim University, respectively.
