Prof. Janakarajan Ramkumar

Prof. Janakarajan Ramkumar has extensive experience in academic leadership and mechanical engineering, serving at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur since December 2003 in various capacities, including Dean of Infrastructure and Planning and HAG Professor. With a notable track record in supervising PhD and MTech students, Ramkumar's research contributions encompass areas such as 3-D nanofabrication, micro machining, and natural polymeric composites. Recognized with multiple awards, including the Gopal Das Bhandari Memorial Distinguished Teacher Award in 2015, Ramkumar has also contributed to professional organizations as Chairman of IEEE UP Section and The Institution of Engineers (India). Additionally, Ramkumar has held research fellowships and academic roles at prestigious institutions, further demonstrating a commitment to engineering education and innovation.
