Sudhirkumar V Barai

Sudhirkumar V Barai serves as the Director of BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus and holds the position of Senior Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering since January 2020. Additionally, Sudhirkumar Barai is engaged in various leadership roles, including Chair/Co-Chair at the BITS RMIT Higher Education Academy and Chair for the BITS-UB / BITS-ISU International Collaborative Programmes. With a rich history at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur since 1998, Sudhirkumar Barai has progressed through multiple academic ranks and administrative roles, including Dean of Undergraduate Studies and Chairman of the Career Development Center. Presently, Sudhirkumar Barai also serves as Vice President of the Pilani Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Society and holds multiple directorships, including with the BITS BioCyTiH Foundation and SATHI Foundation. Sudhirkumar Barai's academic qualifications include a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Machine Learning from Tel Aviv University.
