Troyee Tanu Dutta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, since September 2023, teaching courses in Geomatics and Engineering Mechanics, as well as lab courses in Geotechnical Engineering and Geomatics Practice. Previously, Troyee was a Research Fellow at Monash University from February 2020 to June 2023 and served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Tokyo from September 2016 to January 2020. Troyee's academic journey includes a PhD in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from The University of Tokyo, a Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Assam Engineering College, Gauhati University. Troyee also gained valuable experience through an internship at Lomonosov Moscow State University, focusing on the behavior of soils under dynamic loading. Prior to these roles, Troyee worked as a Research Assistant at Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, supporting lab courses in Experimental Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering, and Fluid Mechanics.
