Nikhil Tambe

Nikhil Tambe is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in energy management and technology innovation. Currently serving as the Co-Chair of the Energy Transition Taskforce at CII Southern Region and the Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Consortium at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Nikhil has held several leadership positions, including Chair of Energy at The Southern Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Adjunct Faculty at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. Previous roles include Director of the India Gateway at The Ohio State University, where responsibilities encompassed fostering global partnerships, and a Technology Leader at Eaton, focusing on strategic planning and innovation in the power management sector. Nikhil began a career at GE Global Research as a Lead Engineer, contributing significantly to power generation technologies and nanotechnology applications. Nikhil holds a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology.
