John Southall

John Southall PhD serves as the Chair of the Visual & Performing Arts Department and Director of Bands at Indian River State College since August 2004. Additionally, John Southall holds the position of Past President at the Florida Music Education Association since June 2013 and serves as Music Director for the Port St Lucie Community Band since September 2012. As a professional musician specializing in trumpet, John Southall has been active in the field since 1985. John Southall earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Music Teacher Education and a Master's Degree from Florida State University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
