Karen Aldana

Karen Aldana serves as the Program Director for the Take Stock in Children Scholarship Program at Indian River State College since August 2020, overseeing case management for over 400 first-generation college-bound students and managing logistics for weekly virtual forums. Previously, Karen worked as a College Success Coach within the same program, collaborating with multiple school districts and mentoring students. Prior experience includes roles at House of Hope as a Special Events & Community Outreach Assistant and at Habitat for Humanity in various capacities, focusing on family services and development coordination. An earlier role as a Teller at Regions Bank emphasized customer service and financial reporting. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Florida Gulf Coast University and an Associate of Arts in Business Administration from Florida SouthWestern State College.
