Mia Tignor

Mia Tignor is an experienced academic professional currently serving as the Dean of Learning Resources at Indian River State College since December 2012. In this role, Mia has held various titles, including Administrative Director of Library Services and Emerging Technologies Librarian, focusing on providing access and reference assistance to students and faculty while teaching credit and non-credit classes in library research techniques. Prior experience includes customer service roles at the Tampa Museum of Art and the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, along with internships at the University of South Florida's Special and Digital Collections and WUSF Public Broadcasting. Mia holds a Ph.D. in Texts & Technology from the University of Central Florida and has both an M.A. in Library and Information Sciences and a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida.
