Terry Kerr

Terry Kerr is the current director at Indiana Area School District. Prior to this position, Terry served as the executive director at Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistance Professionals (PASAP) from July 2014 to June 2020. In this role, Terry was responsible for providing structural and technical assistance in three main areas of the organization: General Operations, Communications (website, email, etc.), and Financials. More specifically, responsibilities included attending all meetings of the Board of Directors, including the annual statewide conference; creating and implementing a strategic plan; providing an executive directors report for every Board of Directors meeting; maintaining communications with members of the board of directors and delegate responsibilities as necessary in order to ensure that board projects and initiatives are progressing and completed in a timely manner; coordinating and overseeing PASAP operations statewide, developing and closely collaborating with school and community supports throughout the state; establishing and maintaining responsive partnerships with state legislators and their staffs, appropriate agencies and committees to address issues related to student assistance; establishing and maintaining strong relationships with individual, corporate and foundation donors and sponsors; and taking primary responsibility of both internal and external communications of the organization, including maintaining the website, email blasts, and other means of communication as determined by the Board of Directors.

Terry Kerr has a Master's degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. They also have a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Gannon University. They have a Letter of Eligibility in Educational Administration and Supervision from Westminster College. They are certified by the Pa. Department of Education to teach in PA.
