Saddam Al-zubaidi is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in video production and education. Currently serving as a Producer/Video Production Specialist at WTIU-TV (PBS) since May 2019, Saddam also holds the position of Director of Photography and Media Editor at JBH Productions, Inc., since April 2016. Instructing media production courses at Valparaiso University since January 2014, Saddam has a strong foundation in teaching and practical experience, having worked as a studio assistant and videographer. Previous roles include videographer and media editor at Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) and freelance videography at +WeCreate Media. With a career starting in broadcast design from 2003 to 2013, Saddam possesses extensive knowledge in the field. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master’s degree in Digital Media from Valparaiso University, along with an academic background in computer applications and highways & transportation engineering.

Indiana Public Media / WTIU / WFIU

Indiana Public Media comprises WFIU Public Radio, WTIU Public Television, Educational Production & Services, News, a robust website, and a host of locally produced programming. Support units include Corporate Development, Digital, Membership, Engineering and Business Office. Known on campus as Radio and Television Services, we report area news, produce audio and video programming, create digital content, and develop educational programs and activities. We help IU faculty and staff produce and distribute audio and video to support their teaching, research, and service activities; our in-house production company offers full remote and studio production support in High Definition. Outside production clients include IU Athletics for live video board game presentations, live satellite feeds to network or cable television and regional and national program production. WFIU, a public radio station, has been broadcasting from the Bloomington campus of Indiana University since October 1950. The station is a charter member of the National Public Radio network and broadcasts 24 hours a day to 20 counties throughout Indiana. In Bloomington, WFIU 1 broadcasts at 34 kilowatts via 103.7 FM, and WFIU 2 broadcasts on 101.9 FM. WFIU 1 also broadcasts on 95.1 fm in Terre Haute, 100.7 fm in Columbus, 101.7 fm in French Lick/West Baden, 98.9 fm in Greensburg, and 106.1 fm in Kokomo. WFIU 2 also broadcasts on 100.1 fm in Seymour. WTIU, a PBS television station owned and operated by Indiana University, serves over 607,126 households in 29 counties in West and South Central Indiana. WTIU airs programming on five digital channels 24 hours a day, and produces local, regional and national programs. For us, this work is a public trust. We help listeners and viewers discover.
