James Harris is a Political Intern at the Indiana Republican Party, where responsibilities include managing voter database information, engaging with constituents across the state, and contributing to campaign efforts for local candidates. Previously, James served as a Student Assistant at Butler University's Office of Human Resources, focusing on auditing health care documents and supporting new hire processes, as well as at the Office of Financial Aid, where data management and organization of student records were key tasks. James holds a degree in Risk Management & Insurance, along with Finance and Financial Management Services from Butler University's Lacy School of Business, completed in 2022.

Primary Functions of The Indiana Republican Party Political Grow our party through training, recruitment and engagement by investing in candidates, coalitions and county parties. Communication Effectively communicate our message through traditional and new media sources. This includes working with national and local media and keeping supporters up-to-date on the latest talking points and news. Operations Provide infrastructure and resources to reduce overhead expenses to the Governor’s campaign staff, The Indiana House Republican Campaign Committee, The Indiana Senate Majority Campaign Committee, and other state wide Republican campaigns and organizations. Finance Raise the funds necessary to meet our political, communication and operational goals while maintaining a healthy balance for the future of The Indiana Republican Party.
