Nurse Practitioner- Team Lead at Indiana University Health

Rebecca Pankop has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Rebecca began their career in 2008 as a Level II Student Technician at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Northern Indiana Healthcare System. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital. Following that, they served as a Senior Leader/Instructor at Biology 203/204 Supplemental Instruction, where they collaborated with a professor to develop lesson plans and supplemental material for students. In 2010, they joined Indiana University Health as a Registered Nurse in the Level 1 Trauma/Surgical ICU. During their time there, they also took on the responsibility of being a preceptor to new staff and periodic night shift charge nurse. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Nurse Practitioner- Team Lead, overseeing and managing General Surgery and Surgical Oncology APPs, and later expanding their responsibilities to supervise 15 direct reports in the Division of Surgical Oncology. Rebecca's work experience demonstrates their skills in clinical care, leadership, teaching, and collaboration.

Rebecca Pankop holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Purdue University, which they obtained from 2022 to 2025. Prior to this, they completed a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Purdue University between 2011 and 2014. Rebecca'sundergraduate education also took place at Purdue University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their academic achievements, Rebecca has obtained several certifications, including CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate from CrossFit Education in December 2022, Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Behavioral Health in 2022, and CCRN from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses in 2012.
