Dr. Jeremy Carter’s primary research interests are in policing, law enforcement intelligence, crime analysis, criminal justice technology, and evidence-based policy. His research has been funded by the National Institute of Justice, U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, among others. Dr. Carter has served as the principal investigator on a number of projects through the United States and was also Chair of the Standing Scientific Review Panel for the U.S. Department of Justice. He received his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. Dr. Carter was named Executive Associate Dean in 2023 after serving as the interim EAD since 2021.
