Brownsyne Tucker Edmonds

Brownsyne Tucker Edmonds is a distinguished academic and healthcare leader with extensive experience in obstetrics, gynecology, and health equity research. Currently serving as a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics and the Associate Dean for Health Equity Research at Indiana University School of Medicine since July 2011, Brownsyne also holds the position of VP and Chief Health Equity Officer at Indiana University Health. Prior roles include Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Instructor at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Education includes a Doctor of Medicine from Brown Medical School, a Master of Science in Health Services and Health Policy Research from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and an undergraduate degree in Community Health and African-American Studies from Brown University.
