Tao Lu

Tao Lu, Ph.D., serves as an Associate Professor (tenured) and Showalter Scholar at Indiana University School of Medicine since 2019, following tenure as an Assistant Professor from 2012 to 2018, with a focus on cancer signaling, inflammation, and drug discovery. In addition, Tao Lu is the Founder, President, and Chief Scientific Officer at EQon Pharmaceuticals, LLC, since 2018. Previous academic roles include Assistant Professor in Molecular Medicine at Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine from 2009 to 2011 and Project Scientist in Molecular Biology & Genetics at Cleveland Clinic from 2006 to 2011. Tao Lu's career began at Cleveland Clinic as a Research Associate from 2002 to 2005, highlighted by the receipt of the Cleveland Clinic Innovator Award. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Molecular & Cellular Biology from The University of Toledo, an MS in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Shandong University, and a BS in Biochemistry from Nanjing University.
