Chris MacAllister

Chris MacAllister is the current Director at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. Prior to that, they were President and Owner of Shirley Engraving from January 1986 to January 2009, where they were responsible for making the company profitable by increasing sales, decreasing expenses, streamlining operations and implementing new procedures. Chris modernized the copper die making process, yielding higher production and fewer errors. Chris also researched and installed software to integrate the order writing and billing process. Chris purchased equipment to expand services and reduce order completion times while net profits ranged from (10-18%) ten to eighteen percent per year. From January 1984 to January 1986, Chris was Vice President of Shirley Engraving, responsible for overseeing sales, production, billing and customer service. Chris researched, designed and purchased equipment to develop a typesetting department. Chris then coordinated employee training and implementation of procedures which saved the company thousands of dollars in expenses. Errors were reduced substantially, production was expedited and customer satisfaction was increased. Chris oversaw and executed the merger of Lappin Engraving with Shirley Engraving.

Chris MacAllister has a B.S. in Business and a Certificate in Management and Marketing from Indiana University Bloomington.
