Volunteer Engagement Lead, at Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra

Krista Layfield possesses extensive experience in performing arts management and volunteer engagement. Currently serving as Front Of House Manager, Volunteer Manager, and Education and Community Engagement Associate at The Center for the Performing Arts since January 2020, Krista also holds the position of Volunteer Engagement Lead at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra since November 2019. Previous roles include Member Services Associate at Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation and Lilly Theater Manager at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Additionally, Krista has worked as an Actors' Equity Stage Manager at both Indiana Repertory Theatre and Merrimack Repertory Theatre. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from Indiana University Bloomington and two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Butler University and Indiana University Indianapolis in Arts Administration and Communications/Theater, respectively. Krista's foundational education in theater arts was received at Southport High School.
