INDIANOIL PETRONAS PRIVATE LIMITED is a joint venture company, prompted by two FORTUNE 500 oil majors, one of them being Indian Oil Corporate limited( IOCL) and the other being Petroleum National Berhad (petronas), Malaysia, the national oil company of Malaysia. The joint venture came into existence in August, 1997 with a joint venture agreement under the aegis of ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas. It was formally incorporated on 3rd December, 1998.
