The Constitution of India states,
“It shall be the duty of every citizen of India to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers and wildlife and to have compassion for living creatures.”
India is one of the few nations of the world that has such a systematically defined fundamental duty set for its citizens in the country’s constitution. And yet, the countries wildlife is facing threats every day from commercialistation, habitat degradation, urbanisation and deforestation. 
India's Endangered is a web publication focused on bringing news and information about the endangered plants and animals of the country to the forefront. Making people aware about the lesser known species and encouraging them to take conservation actions.
