Dub Austin

Dub Austin has extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry. Dub currently holds the position of Senior Director Analog IC Design at indie Semiconductor since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Silicon Labs for seven years, where they served as the Design Manager, leading design teams for advanced power and isolation ICs for Automotive and Industrial applications. Dub was also responsible for debugging and failure analysis of legacy products. Before that, they worked as a Senior Staff Design Engineer at Silicon Labs.

Dub Austin also worked at Maxim Integrated Products as a Principal Member of Technical Staff for four years. Dub founded IntelliSi, LLC in 2005 and served as the Founder, President, and Principal Designer until 2010. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Silicon Laboratories, Cygnal Integrated Products, SiLogiX, LLC, Cirrus Logic, The Silicon Group, and Ross Technology, Inc.

Throughout their career, Dub Austin has gained expertise in analog and digital IC design, including the development of general-purpose and specialized MCU products, audio DSP architecture, and design, as well as implementation of various analog and digital components.

Dub Austin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, which they attended from 1987 to 1989. Prior to that, they studied Mathematics at West Texas A&M University from 1985 to 1987. Dub then pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, completing their studies from 1989 to 1991.
