Maddy Behr

Program & Partnerships Coordinator at IndieBio

As the Program & Partnerships Coordinator, Maddy works to develop, coordinate, and deliver IndieBio’s 4-month-long start-up development program. She creates and runs daily programming for founders and interfaces directly with IndieBio’s mentor, investor, and partner network to coordinate speakers, make introductions, and host events alongside organizations across the New York City life sciences ecosystem. She also supports efforts to augment IndieBio’s presence within the New York life sciences ecosystem, including events, partnerships, social media management, and other outreach.

Prior to joining IndieBio, Maddy spent three years at IBM as a Digital Change consultant. At IBM, she worked with healthcare clients in both the public and private sectors, providing support with their workforce strategy, change management approach, branding, and integrated marketing communications campaigns. Prior to consulting, Maddy spent time working at a venture capital firm focused on investing in early-stage hard-tech, where she worked with scientists, founders, and industry innovators to bring tech to market.

Maddy grew up in Evanston, IL, and graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in International Relations (Economics) and a minor in Entrepreneurship. She has always been passionate about entrepreneurship’s ability to challenge the status quo and help shape the future of reality. She is a strong believer that biotech innovation will help deliver a more sustainable and prosperous world. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, doing yoga, making art, singing, and traveling.
