Michael Smith, ENP, NREMT, has extensive experience in emergency management and communication roles, beginning as a Dispatcher and Supervisor at Colbert County 911 from June 1997 to July 2002. Smith advanced to become Assistant Director and later 911 Director at the same organization from July 2011 to May 2017. Following this, Smith served as a Fire Science Instructor at the Colbert County Board of Education from June 2017 to May 2019 and then as Emergency Management Director at Colbert County Emergency Management from June 2019 to March 2024.
