System Engineer at INdigital Telecom

Scott Book has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Scott started their career as a Programmer Analyst at Magnavox Electronic Systems Company in 1985. Scott then joined the US Navy in 1986 as a Military Officer, where they served for 20 years. During their time in the Navy, they worked as an Instructor/Infrastructure Administrator in the Computer Science Department at the U.S. Naval Academy, where they administered Linux-based systems and taught programming courses.

After leaving the Navy in 2006, Scott worked as an Information Technology Support Specialist at TEKsystems, a Software Developer at CBC Companies, and again at TEKsystems as a Software Developer. In 2007, they became a Volunteer IT Coordinator/System Administrator at Highpoint Nazarene Church.

In 2009, Scott joined Battelle as a Researcher, where they served as a System Administrator, Developer, and Applications Analyst. Their responsibilities included utilizing Active Directory, Group Policy, and various system monitoring tools, implementing and managing patch and update applications, and configuring virtual servers using Hyper-V and VMware.

In 2014, they worked as a System Administrator at The Computer Merchant before joining Raytheon in 2015 as a Sr. Systems Integration Technologist I. At Raytheon, they provided systems administration support for environments containing RHEL and Windows Server servers.

Most recently, Scott joined INdigital in 2021 as a System Engineer.

Scott Book holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Scott also pursued further studies and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School. In addition to their academic achievements, Scott has obtained several certifications from various institutions. These certifications include Commercial Pilot Airplane Multi Engine Land (AMEL), Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Helicopter, Instrument Helicopter, Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit (RP), Instrument Airplane, Private Pilot Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL), and a Medical Certificate First Class, all obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration.
