Scientist II at INDIGO Biosciences

Andrew Woodman has a varied work experience, beginning with a Printer role at Polestar in 1994. In 2011, they held a Ph.D training position in the Frigerio Lab at the University of Warwick, researching the influence of Reticulon isoforms on endoplasmic reticulum structure. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Ph.D student at the University of Warwick, investigating the viral and host factors that influence recombination in enteroviruses. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Penn State University, where they dissected the mechanism of recombination in enteroviruses using novel cell based and cell free approaches, developed a human stem cell derived cardiomyocyte model for virus infection, and authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications. Currently, they are a Scientist II at INDIGO Biosciences, INC.

Andrew Woodman attended Norton Hill School from 1989 to 1994. Andrew then went on to earn their BSc in Microbiology and Virology from the University of Warwick between 2008 and 2011.
