Eddie Kim

Eddie Kim has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. Eddie served as the VP of Data Science at Indigo starting from 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Sysomos as the VP and Chief Data Scientist from 2013 to 2017. In this role, they led a team conducting applied research on social data using machine learning. Eddie engaged in primary research, authored white papers, and developed algorithms and analytics. Additionally, they collaborated with engineering and architecture teams to create and market data science applications. Before Sysomos, Eddie worked at Teradata as a Senior Analytics/Data Science Consultant from 2008 to 2013. At Teradata, they also held the position of Research Lab Manager from 2001 to 2008. In this role, they focused on researching algorithms for forecasting and replenishment solutions in supply chain management. Eddie was involved in developing new analytic modules and contributing to technical reports and patent filings.

Eddie Kim completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management between 2003 and 2005. Eddie also holds a Bachelor's degree from Simon Fraser University, with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Time Series Data Mining. Additionally, they have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
