Peter Tummers

Peter Tummers has worked in the field of data science since 1999, beginning their career at DSM as a Senior Data Scientist. In this role, they were responsible for building machine learning models, continuous and batch process monitoring models, and industrial statistics. Peter was an experienced user of Minitab, Matlab, Python, and R. Peter then moved into the role of Senior Scientist Process Analytics & Statistics, where they developed process analytical applications and was a Project Manager. Prior to this, they worked at Polychemlab DSM as a Trouble shooter/Account manager and Shift leader from 1992 to 1999. Peter is currently employed as a Senior Data Scientist at Indigo, starting in 2022.

Peter Tummers' education history includes a BSc in Process Engineering from Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences between 1995 and 1997, a BSc in Plastics and Polymer Engineering Technology/Technician from Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences between 1992 and 1993, and a BSc in Analytical Chemistry from Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences between 1987 and 1991. Peter also obtained a certification in Neural Networks and Convolutional Neural Networks Essential Training from LinkedIn in December 2021.
