Riza Suarga

Riza Suarga currently serves as Chairman of the Indonesia Carbon Trade Association and Chairman of the Permanent Committee of Conservation, Ecosystem, Social Forestry & Environment Partnership at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). In addition, Riza holds a position on the Expert Board of the Technical Committee for Environment Friendly Technology Verification at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Republic of Indonesia. Since December 2010, Riza has been President & CEO of Agraus Resources, which focuses on environmental projects. Riza served as President Director of the Sumatra Merang Peatland Project from January 2019 to January 2021, achieving significant certifications in carbon storage. Earlier leadership roles include President Director and Commissioner at Medcopapua Group. Academic achievements include a PhD in Political Ecology and Anthropology from the University of Indonesia, a Master of Management in Human Resources Management from Universitas Trisakti, a BA in Economics from Ohio University, and completion of the Digital Disruption Advanced Course at Cambridge Judge Business School.
