Apurva Joshi, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various research and teaching roles. They are currently serving as the VP of R&D at Indrones since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Scientist at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from January 2019 to November 2021. Additionally, they served as a Teaching Associate at Monash University from June 2017 to June 2018.

Apurva also has experience as a Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from December 2013 to June 2014. They worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies from February 2013 to December 2013.

Furthermore, Apurva has a background in engineering, having worked as an Engineer in Power Systems at Power Research and Development Consultants Pvt Ltd from June 2010 to October 2011. They also completed a summer internship at the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, DRDO from May 2013 to August 2013, where they successfully completed the kinematic and dynamic modeling of an unmanned quad-rotor helicopter system using Simulink/MATLAB and implemented control techniques to stabilize it.

Apurva Joshi, Ph.D. has a strong educational background in the field of Autonomous Systems. From 2014 to 2019, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from both Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and Monash University. This doctoral program focused on Autonomous Systems.

Prior to their Ph.D., Apurva completed an M.Tech. in Robotics from UPES between 2012 and 2014.

For their undergraduate studies, Apurva attended Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2006 to 2010, earning a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Before entering the university level, Apurva completed their high school education at Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School from 2004 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Apurva has also obtained certifications related to their field of study. In 2014, they completed a control of Mobile Robots certification from Coursera. In 2013, they also obtained a certification in Image and Video processing, also from Coursera.
