Casey Murray

Casey Murray has worked in the technology industry since 2009. In that time, they have held a variety of roles with different companies. From 2009 to 2012, they were an Information Technology Intern at Hershey Medical Center, where they designed queries for a large scale medical record SQL database and wrote a manuscript titled "The Effect of Electronic Alerts on the Prophylaxis of Patients at Risk for Venous Thromboembolism". From 2012 to 2013, they were a Web Development Intern at Phoenix Contact, where they assisted in the deployment of a new company website and developed solutions with Selenium Webdriver and Java for task automation and application testing. From 2013 to 2021, they worked at Solar Technology, Inc. as a Software Design Engineer, where they designed and distributed iOS and Android apps, developed and maintained Mongo-DB backed production server, mobile web server and Java-based client desktop software, and maintained build system and release packages. Most recently, they have been working at InductiveHealth Informatics since 2021, where they have held the roles of Chief Architect and Lead Software Architect. As Lead Software Architect, they have been the technical lead for multiple SaaS solutions delivered to government clients across 15 states and US territories, and has made enhancements to COTS products and developed full-stack in-house solutions. As Senior Software Engineer, they have led the development of a TAC card data management system built from the ground up for CDC NCIRD, and delivered the MVP product ahead of schedule, leveraging Jira, true agile sprints, daily scrums and client-attended retrospectives to maximize productivity and keep the project in scope.

Casey Murray obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Penn State University in 2009. From 2010 to 2011, they attended HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, earning an Associate of Science (AS) in Computer Information Systems - Support Specialist. In 2011, they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) in Web Development & Design from the same college. In 2018, they obtained a certification in M312: Diagnostics and Debugging from MongoDB University. Finally, in 2020, they obtained a RYT 200 in Yoga Teacher Training/Yoga Therapy from Yoga Farm Ithaca.
