Arihant Singhi

Arihant Singhi began their work experience as a Data Science Intern at MBB Labs PVT. LTD in 2019. Arihant then joined Schneider Electric India Pvt. Limited in 2020, where they worked as a Data Scientist. During this time, they built and deployed ML-driven predictive model solutions for support case resolutions using NLP techniques such as tfidf vectorization and word embeddings. Arihant utilized models like XGBoost and prebuilt models from huggingface transformers like BERT and DistilBERT. Arihant also made use of cloud services like AWS SageMaker inbuilt estimators. In addition, Arihant delivered multiple use cases, including case categorization, leads detection, case reason, and case routing. Arihant proposed over 300K predictions in a quarter with an accuracy rate of 79%. Following this, Arihant joined PhonePe in 2022 as a Data Scientist. In this role, they transformed the app store's search function by implementing sentence transformers and moved away from ElasticSearch. Arihant used sentence transformers to create app embeddings and re-ranked retrieved apps based on query-app similarity scores and app installs.

Arihant Singhi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics from St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata in the years 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained certifications in CT 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 from IAI in 2014. In the years 2018 to 2020, Arihant pursued a degree in Quality Management Science at the Indian Statistical Institute (SQC & OR). In January 2022, they earned the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
