Mr. Viral Damania is a seasoned finance leader with over 27 years of experience across global financial institutions. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, and Cost & Works Accountant. Before joining the Bank, Viral served as the Chief Financial Officer at Bank of America India where he was responsible for both the Bank branch entity and BofA Securities India Ltd. He was also a member of the country leadership team and earlier served as a non-executive director on the board of BofA Securities India. Viral’s career spans key roles at PwC and Citibank, where he built deep expertise across Controllers, FP&A, Corporate Treasury, Product Control, and Audit. At Citi, he held leadership roles overseeing financials for India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Known for his strategic financial acumen, Viral has led lean yet high-impact finance teams, managing controller functions, business finance, capital and liquidity, and regulatory reporting to both the RBI and US regulators. He is recognized for bridging the gap between controllers and business finance through data-driven insights and financial strategy.
