Petko Karamotchev

Petko Karamotchev's work experience includes being the Chief Executive Officer at INDUSTRIA Technology, a global consultancy firm specializing in distributed ledger technology and digital currencies. Petko also worked as a Mentor at R3 and as an Industry Associate at UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies (CBT). Prior to that, Petko was the Director at Merar.com, where they were responsible for developing and implementing a strategic business plan. Petko also co-founded Magic Solutions, a web development company known for its Django and Web Usability skills. Petko began their career as a Stock Broker at Hedger and later became a Supervisor.

Petko Karamotchev has pursued various educational opportunities and certifications throughout their career. In terms of formal education, they obtained their First Degree in International Finance from the University of Portsmouth. Petko then went on to attend Cotrugli Business School from 2008 to 2011, where they earned their EMBA degree. In 2020, they enrolled in the Artificial Intelligence Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Petko also completed the AI For Business Leaders program at Udacity in 2020-2021.

In addition to their formal education, Petko Karamotchev has obtained several certifications. Petko became a Corda Certified Developer through R3 in January 2019. Petko has also acquired certifications such as the Introduction to Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), Opportunities Offered by CBDCs, CBDC Pilot Tests in Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Europe, CBDCs All Over The World in 2021, and The Digital Yuan: The World’s Most Advanced CBDC from CFTE - Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship in November 2021. Petko holds certifications in Advanced Cold Fusion Developer, Certified Securities Broker from the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, and IBM WebSphere Solution Sales Professional from IBM.
