Lawrence Kong has extensive experience in the banking industry, with their most recent role as the Corporate & Commercial Credit Documentation Head for Loans Administration at ICBC (Asia) starting in February 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director & Team Head of Corporate Banking at OCBC Wing Hang from August 2020 to January 2022. Lawrence also has a long tenure at ICBC (Asia), where they held the position of Team Head of Corporate Banking from August 2002 to August 2020. Lawrence began their career at Bank of China (Hong Kong) in May 2000 as a Senior Officer in Financial Institutions, before joining ICBC (Asia).
Lawrence Kong completed their education history as follows. From 1992 to 1995, they attended the University of Sydney, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Economics and Marketing. Lawrence then pursued further studies at the University of London from 2003 to 2005, culminating in a Bachelor of Laws degree specializing in English Laws. In addition to their formal education, Kong obtained the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMLS) certification from ACAMS in June 2016.
