Erik Diederich has a diverse work experience in various industries. Erik began their career in 2006 as an Accounting Assistant with Industrial Builders, Inc. After their initial role, they pursued their education and held positions of Student Body Vice President and Assistant Commissioner of Finance at North Dakota State University. In 2014, they briefly worked as a Project Manager at Kilbourne Group. In 2015, they returned to Industrial Builders, Inc. and took on the role of Director of Business Development, Owner. In 2017, they founded Diederich Drone Service, LLC to provide drone technology solutions to Industrial Builders, Inc. Additionally, in 2021, they joined the Board of Directors at Border Bank. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operating Officer at Industrial Builders, Inc.

Erik Diederich completed their education in a chronological order. From 2006 to 2010, they attended Fargo South High School, where they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. In 2010, they enrolled in North Dakota State University and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and Business Administration. During the same year, they also attended Concordia College for a year, focusing on Accounting. Additionally, in 2010 and 2011, Erik obtained a Private Pilot certification from Fargo Jet Center.
