Charles Lai

Charles Lai is an accomplished Visual Effects Supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic since May 2014, contributing to notable projects such as "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" and "The Old Man" (season 2). Lai’s extensive experience includes roles as Associate Visual Effects Supervisor in high-profile films like "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" and "Twisters" (2024), and as Compositing Supervisor for titles including "Jurassic World: Dominion" and "Black Panther." In addition to hands-on visual effects work, Lai has served as an Industry Mentor at Vancouver Film School and taught Advanced Compositing Techniques at The Art Institute of Vancouver, building a solid foundation in visual effects with a diploma from The Art Institute of Vancouver (2006).
