Tom Szenher

Tom Szenher is an accomplished Lead Technical Director specialized in Virtual Production at Industrial Light & Magic since February 2015. With extensive experience in motion and facial capture data, Tom has enhanced client relationships through proactive collaborative measures during production phases and established a comprehensive roadmap for improving data acquisition tools. Tom played a pivotal role in initiating the Virtual Production Jedi Academy training program, emphasizing diversity among recent graduates. Previous roles at Industrial Light & Magic include Technical Director II and Technical Director, where Tom contributed to significant projects such as "The Mandalorian," "Star Wars," and "Space Jam 2," honing technical methodologies and troubleshooting processes. Prior experience spans various positions, including Technical Resource Administrator at DreamWorks Animation and freelance roles at several companies, where Tom demonstrated a robust ability to manage technical operations and mentor team members. Tom holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts.
