Greg Linch

Greg Linch has a diverse work experience in the field of journalism and software engineering. Greg currently works at Industry Dive as the Data + Visuals Director, where they lead a team of data and visual journalists and provides training and support to a newsroom of over 120 journalists. Greg also collaborates with various teams to enhance the in-house content management system. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at the same company, where they built new features for the internal CMS and developed an internal source database.

In addition to their work at Industry Dive, Greg has also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at Georgetown University, teaching Web Development for Media graduate class. Greg served as an Adjunct Professor at Howard University for a brief period. At McClatchy, they worked as a Data Developer, creating data-driven stories and tools for the company's newsrooms. Greg built an election result system and implemented Datawrapper, an open-source tool, to facilitate interactive graphics and data tables creation.
