Jim Tyson

Jim Tyson is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in financial and economic reporting. Currently serving as a Senior Reporter at Industry Dive since December 2020, Tyson previously held positions as a Writer/Editor at PwC, focusing on financial services, and as Editor at Brown Advisory, where Jim produced insightful publications on investments and economic issues. At Bloomberg News, Tyson advanced to Federal Reserve Editor, leading coverage during the financial crisis and mentoring reporters. Earlier roles included National Economy Correspondent and Chicago Bureau Chief for The Christian Science Monitor, as well as Beijing Correspondent, where Tyson received a Pulitzer Prize nomination for investigative reporting. Jim Tyson began a journalism career with Associated Press and United Press International as Tokyo Correspondent. Educational credentials include an Honors A.B. in Government and East Asian Studies from Harvard University.
