David Thorpe

David Thorpe is the Founding Partner and Executive Director of Strategy at INDUSTRY. David has over two decades of experience in product design and management.

David started their career as a Design Intern at IDEO. David then worked as a Product Designer/Mechanical Engineer at HP for three years. In 1993, they joined Ziba Design as a Sr. Product Designer/Mechanical Engineer. David was promoted to Product Design Team Leader/Sr. Program Manager in 1998 and Group Creative Director in 2003.

In 2011, they left Ziba Design to start INDUSTRY, a company that provides strategic creative programs for a wide range of companies.

David Thorpe completed a BS in Engineering with a focus in Product Design from Stanford University.
