Ana Chumbau

Ana Chumbau has a strong background in statistics and business. Ana started their career as an intern at Estradas de Portugal in 1997. Ana then joined INE / Statistics Portugal in 1998 as a Senior Statistician, where they worked for over 20 years. In 2019, Ana became the Head of the Business Statistics Unit at INE.

Ana Chumbau attended the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão ISEG from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Licenciatura degree in Matemática aplicada à economia e gestão. Prior to that, Ana completed their 12º ano at Escola Secundária de Sampaio, with a focus on Economics.
