Manuel Castro

Manuel Castro is an experienced communication specialist and copywriter with a diverse background in writing and media. Since August 2005, Manuel has worked as a freelancer, honing skills in social media management and press relations. Manuel's editorial journey began at Impresa Publishing as an editor and journalist for Surf Portugal, contributing significantly to surf journalism in Portugal. Following this, a partnership with Onírica, lda led to the creation of Zero Emag, a digital magazine focusing on alternative sports and culture. Manuel later collaborated with Quiksilver Europe, managing press relations and copywriting for brand campaigns. Currently, as a Senior Technician at INEM, Manuel develops communication materials and coordinates the Integrated Medical Emergency System, ensuring effective collaboration and messaging across teams. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Science Communication and a Licenciatura in Modern and Contemporary History.
