Michel MacHielsen

Michel Machielsen is a seasoned professional in the field of chemical engineering with extensive experience in commissioning, start-up operations, and project management. Currently serving as the Commissioning & Start-Up Lead for the Furnace and HOT side Area at INEOS since February 2020, Michel has played a crucial role in the set-up of strategies for Project ONE ECR-part across multiple international locations. Prior to INEOS, Michel spent over 12 years at Shell, contributing to projects focused on operational readiness and coordinating teams in various capacities, including leading the Skyline project and working as a site plant change engineer. Earlier career experience includes a position at Air Liquide as a Commissioning & Start-Up Operator. Michel holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Fontys University of Applied Sciences and has further academic credentials from Eindhoven University of Technology and Baronie college.
