Stephen Ferns

Stephen Ferns is an experienced engineering professional specializing in maintenance and asset management within the polymers sector. Currently serving as the Polymers Planning & Maintenance Manager at INEOS since November 2017, Stephen leads the development of maintenance strategies to enhance asset reliability and cost performance, while ensuring safety and health compliance. Prior roles at INEOS include Lead Mechanical Engineer, where Stephen oversaw mechanical engineering operations, and Mechanical Asset Engineer, responsible for implementing asset care policies. Previously at ScottishPower from January 2013 to November 2017, Stephen worked as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer and Mechanical Project Engineer, supporting mechanical systems across multiple hydro stations. Stephen's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
