Raymond Cointe

Raymond Cointe has served as CEO of INERIS since November 2013, demonstrating extensive leadership in environmental policy and strategy. Prior roles include various positions at the ministère de l'écologie from April 2007 to October 2013, such as Conseiller Spécial and Directeur des affaires européennes et internationales. Cointe was also Secretary-General Deputy at the SGAE from September 2001 to April 2007, and held multiple technical advisory roles at the ministère de l'écologie and SGAE earlier in their career. A background in engineering is supported by a PhD in Mechanical and Environmental Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, as well as degrees from École nationale des ponts et chaussées and École Polytechnique.
