Chia-Pin Chang

Chia-Pin Chang has a diverse work experience spanning multiple positions and industries. They began their career as a Postgraduate Student and Graduate Research Assistant at The George Washington University, where they worked on developing and evaluating recalibration technologies for chemical gas analyzers. They also mentored students and conducted research in the field.

Chia-Pin then moved on to become a Postdoctoral Scientist at The George Washington University, where they designed and fabricated microfluidic chips for biosensor applications. They also integrated microcontrollers and electronics for portable biosensor systems.

They later joined OptoBioSense LLC as the Chief Technology Officer, where they assumed responsibility for the company's technological advancements.

Chia-Pin then transitioned to a role at A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research, where they served as a T-UP Scientist. In this position, they collaborated with a local SME to design and develop an ovarian cancer diagnostics kit. They also managed the manufacturing process and procedures for product production.

They also served as an Advisory Committee Member at A*STAR FusionWorld, providing their expertise and insights to the committee.

Chia-Pin then joined the Institute of Microelectronics as a Scientist/Project Leader and later became a Scientist/Principal Investigator. During their tenure, they managed a joint diagnostic grant project, designed and developed a workflow for a rare cell isolation platform, and presented results to the funding agency.

Most recently, Chia-Pin worked at INEX Innovate as the Vice President of Research and Development and later assumed the position of Chief Technology Officer. Unfortunately, the end dates for their roles at INEX Innovate are unavailable.

Chia-Pin Chang completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Tunghai University, which they attended from 1996 to 2000. They then pursued their Master of Science in Computer Engineering from The George Washington University, completing it between 2001 and 2003. Finally, Chia-Pin Chang obtained their Doctor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from The George Washington University, completing it from 2003 to 2010.
