Sreenivas Karanam

Sreenivas Karanam is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in wireless research and development. Currently serving as Vice President of Wireless R&D at Infineon Technologies since November 2020, Sreenivas oversees global teams focused on WiFi technology encompassing system design, VLSI, firmware, and software. Sreenivas has received notable recognition as the first prize winner of the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Telecom Skill Excellence Award in 2018. Previous roles include key positions at NXP Semiconductors, IISc Bangalore, Astrome Technologies, and TrakRay, where Sreenivas co-founded and led efforts in indoor localization and AI-driven solutions. Sreenivas also founded and led cooltok, which was acquired by Kirusa Inc. in 2014, and held senior management roles at Broadcom and Athena Semiconductors. Sreenivas holds an MBA from Teesside University and an engineering degree from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
