Emma Karayiannis

Emma Karayiannis has worked in the software engineering industry since 2011. Her experience includes working as a Drupal Developer at i-KOS from 2011 to 2013, a Frontend and Drupal Developer at Precedent from 2013 to 2014, a Frontend Developer at Amazee Labs from 2014 to 2015, a Drupal Developer at Deeson from 2015 to 2016 and a Senior Software Engineer at TES Global Limited from 2016 to 2021. At TES Global Limited, they worked in a product team using React, Node. js (Express), PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ contributing to a staff engagement survey tool for schools. Emma also had experience with continuous delivery of features using GitHub PRs, Jenkins, Kibana and Kubernetes. At Deeson, they had experience with Drupal configuration including content types, taxonomies, Views and Panels, deployment of configuration using Features, Git and update hooks, and knowledge of the Drupal theming layer, including preprocessors and templates. At Amazee Labs, they created responsive Drupal 7 and 8 themes, assisted with Drupal site building, and shared knowledge to the team on frontend code, techniques and processes. At Precedent, they sitebuilt and themed Drupal 7 brochure style sites, acted as a frontend evangelist to the Drupal team, and managed client expectations and gave feedback. At i-KOS, they worked on support tickets from clients, built and themed Drupal 7 commerce sites, and managed client expectations and provided feedback. Emma is currently employed at Infinitas Learning Holding B.V. as a Software Engineer.

Emma Karayiannis completed their Interactive Computing BSc in Information Systems and Computing at Brunel University London in 2010. Emma also obtained a Diploma in Professional Development in Information Technology at the same university in 2009.
