JJ James has a diverse and extensive work experience in creative and design roles. JJ currently serves as the Group Creative Director at Infinity Marketing Team, LLC. Prior to that, they were the Creative Director & Co-Owner at SparkitWorks.
Before their current roles, JJ worked as an Art Director/Experiential Designer at Out Of Our Minds Creative Services, where they collaborated with the owner to develop concept designs and 3D renderings for various projects, including live performances and concert tours.
JJ also has experience in the education field, having worked as a Professor & Scenographer at Johnson County Community College. In this role, they provided design leadership and support for productions, designed sets and costumes, and mentored students.
JJ has also worked as a Creative Producer & Co-Owner at Charlie Productions, where they negotiated contracts and developed quality designs for clients. Additionally, JJ served as the Creative Director & Project Manager for The Queen Mary's Dark Harbor, where they created immersive designs and experiences for the annual Halloween haunt event.
Other notable roles include being a Project Manager & Designer at TCI Fabrication & Industrial Services, a Creative & Design Consultant at All Access Staging and Productions, Inc., a Creative Director at BackCODE, and a Production Designer at National Picture Show.
Throughout their career, JJ has consistently demonstrated their expertise in design, conceptualization, and project management across various industries and settings.
JJ James has a Bachelor of Science degree in Theater from Kansas State University, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004. JJ also holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Scenic and Costume Design from Southern Methodist University, which they completed from 2008 to 2011.
